Steve Meadows

I can't throw anything away. Everyday objects can be recycled into an unending parade of creatures and charecters. Faces peer out at me from the most mundane collection of materials...tea pots, brushes, shovels and miscellaneous rusty junk are reborn. The assemblages started as a respite from my wood carving and grew into a passion. Finding the right combinationof materials to create a fun or funky friend has captured my imaginative side. Luckily for me, family and friends have kept me stocked with the raw ingredients needed and I have been known to dumpster-dive. It is important to me to keep my art humorous and on the lighter side. When a person steps inside my booth, I know I have been successful when they leave with a smile and a chuckle.
